This week we had several guests who donated toys for our sanctuary animals! Your generosity brings so much joy, enrichment, and comfort to our furry friends. Each toys, gift of happiness and a reminder that they are loved. We couldn’t do this without your kindness and support! 

Capybara Cafe

 Here are some fascinating and adorable facts about these lovable animals!  

1. Water Lovers! Capybaras are natural swimmers and love to cool off in the water! They can even sleep while half-submerged, with just their noses poking out to breathe.

2. Social Creatures  Capybaras thrive in social groups! They enjoy being around others and can often be found hanging out with other animals too.

3. Friendly with Everyone  Known for their gentle nature, capybaras often let other animals join them, creating a peaceful vibe in their habitats.

4. Vegetarian Diet  Capybaras are all about plants! They enjoy munching on grass, fruits, and other vegetation—a true plant lover’s diet!

5. Cool Adaptations  Their eyes, nose, and ears are positioned high on their heads, so they can peek above water while most of their body stays submerged.

6. Family-Oriented  Capys love family time! They’re known for being affectionate and always look out for each other, often grooming and snuggling together.

7. Excellent Swimmers  Capybaras can stay underwater for up to 5 minutes and are fantastic at diving to avoid predators.

8. Unique Communication Capys are talkative! They communicate through purrs, whistles, and even a soft bark when they’re excited or playful.

9. Sunbathers Extraordinaire  Capybaras love to lounge in the sun. You’ll often spot them soaking up the sunshine in the morning and late afternoon.

10. Calm and Curious  Capys have a naturally curious and calm demeanor, which makes them easygoing companions to many animals.

We are so excited to invite you to participate in our special pumpkin donation event at The Capybara Café! The first 31 pumpkins will receive a tag, and we’ll send you a personalized video of our furry friends enjoying your donation, one bite at a time! 

How to Participate:

 • Pick up the entry form inside the store from 9 AM to 5 PM.

 • The challenge is only available to the first 31 pumpkins. If we receive more than 31, we will donate the extras to local sanctuaries, ensuring no pumpkin goes to waste!

 • Pumpkins must be whole and undecorated to keep our animals safe. 

Make sure to stop by and get your entry form early to secure your spot! We’ll be sharing videos of your pumpkin being enjoyed by our animals, so don’t miss out on this fun and heartwarming experience.
